Most na Soči: the lake below the villa, Tolmin six minutes away
Most na Soči lies where the Idrijca flows into the Soča. Below the village the Soča is dammed into a long turquoise lake with a path along the water. The villa stands on the shore of that lake, at the edge of the village.
The village has inns, a pizzeria, a cake shop, a grocery and a railway station. Triglav National Park and the Italian border are close.

What to do
On the water
Swimming and paddling on the lake below the villa. Rafting, kayaking, hydrospeed and canyoning on the Soča with guides from Tolmin.
Fishing
Fly fishing on the Soča, the Idrijca and the Tolminka. Permits from the Tolmin angling club (Ribiška družina Tolmin).
In the mountains
Hikes up Krn, to Kozlov rob above Tolmin and into Triglav National Park, mountain biking and paragliding.
In winter
Skiing on Kanin above Bovec and at Cerkno, both just over 40 minutes by car.

Getting here
By car
From Ljubljana via Idrija or Cerkno, from Austria and Italy over the Predel pass and Bovec, from Nova Gorica up the Soča. About three kilometres past Tolmin you reach Most na Soči with the lake on your right.
Turn right at the T-junction, then about 50 metres before the bar turn right downhill to the villa's gate. Sat nav: Most na Soči 52a.
By train
Most na Soči has a railway station on the line between Nova Gorica and Jesenice, with trains towards Bohinj and Bled.
By plane
The nearest airports are Trieste (1 h 10 by car) and Ljubljana (1 h 25). Hire a car at the airport.
